Interventions Resources Overview

The Center TRT provides practitioners with the best available evidence on preventing and controlling obesity, heart disease and stroke, and other chronic diseases through nutrition and physical activity. In addition, we provide practice-relevant information and resources to assist with developing and implementing successful interventions at various levels of the socioecologic model.

Intervention Strategies are broad approaches to supporting behavior change, for example “point of decision-making prompts” and “goal-setting.”

Interventions, research-tested and practice-based, provide a defined set of activities that are packaged and disseminated along with intervention materials and in some cases training. The interventions focus on nutrition and physical activity.
